The Gyeonggi Centre for Economic Promotion (GBSA) signed a strategic MOU with United Korean Founders (UKF) in New York to support 22 Gyeonggi-based startups — including RnPT — in their pursuit of global growth and US market entry.

Overview

The Gyeonggi Centre for Economic Promotion (GBSA) signed a strategic MOU with United Korean Founders (UKF) on October 17, 2024, at the W New York Times Square building in New York City. The agreement is designed to support 22 Gyeonggi-based startups — including RnPT — in building the networks, investor relationships, and operational foundations needed for successful global expansion.

The signing ceremony was attended by Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon, GBSA President Kang Sung-cheon, and UKF Co-Founders Ki-ha Lee and Se-joo Jeong.

About UKF

United Korean Founders (UKF) is a nonprofit organization established to support the growth of Korean-American entrepreneurs and foster a thriving startup ecosystem across North America. UKF was co-founded by:

  • Ki-ha Lee — CEO of Primer Sazze Partners, Silicon Valley
  • Se-joo Jeong — Chairman of global health company Noom, New York

The MOU establishes a framework for mutual support between the Gyeonggi startup ecosystem and the US-based Korean entrepreneurial community.

What the MOU Covers

The agreement supports cross-border startup growth between Gyeonggi Province and the North American market, with a focus on:

  • Connecting Gyeonggi-based startups with US investors and venture networks
  • Providing IR coaching, one-on-one investor consultations, and pitch opportunities
  • Facilitating participation in UKF-organized global startup events
  • Supporting follow-on investment connections for high-potential ventures

RnPT's Participation

RnPT was among the 22 Gyeonggi-based startups selected to participate in the program. Through this initiative, RnPT presented its AI-powered international patient access platform KRACE at the 2024 NYC Startup Summit — engaging directly with US-based venture capital firms and exploring concrete collaboration frameworks for its North American expansion.
